We have a roof leak location service which starts with a standard price for an investigation. Some roofs are two stories up and in that case we need scaffolding to get up there so would start with that first. Some roofs are steep i.e., over 25 degrees pitch and they are hard to stand on so we need roof ladders and often scaffolding too.

Yes, we like to minimise the number of penetrations in a roof, and if the chimney is not safe, or not used and never likely to, we price to take down the chimney to at least just under the roof, or down to ceiling level. We would price that and recommend it.

We have access to a wide variety of gutter and spouting profiles. There are several manufacturers that have several profiles each. If a special shape of valley or box gutter or rain head is needed we manufacture one to fit unusual situations. Some profiles have to be made by machine so finding a supplier can take some time. Some of the older metal profiles are no longer made for example Galv or copper Quarter round. When we say Quarter Round or OG. We mean the traditional profiles not the new profiles sold by the new suppliers which are not the same as the old profiles. 

There are some profiles for what is known as long run spouting where the profiles are no longer available. We can often get a profile that is close to it.
