Southern offers Free Quotes.
The process is in two parts. The first part is figuring out the extent of the work. This has to be clearly quantified. No research is being carried out. If you say I want 5m of spouting replaced we price that free. If you say I want you to replace our 180 litre electric hot water cylinder in my cupboard in the hallway we price that free.
If you say locate my roof leak. We first have to investigate where its leaking and what is causing the leak. This investigative work sometimes needs scaffolding and getting on the roof with harnesses and two people for hours to locate the leak. Once found and the extent of the work is identified. We can then price it Free. But the investigative part is not free. We have a leak investigation price for locating leaks. Or we can let you know a work up to price and once the problem is located let you know what it will take to complete the work so there are no surprises.

If you want to jump the que we have a pricing fee. Where we come after a day or two.
If you want us to visit your property then we charge $120 for the quote and visit, which we credit should you accept the quote – making it free! This $120 fee is deducted from the price we give you.
Please note that we will always call you first to find out the extent of the work.
If you call us and ask us to come to your property, investigate a problem, or discuss possible options, or give advice then it is a chargeable quote.
Free Quote – If the job is not investigative then we can price it from our menu of standard jobs. This quoting method is Free.
Your $120 quote will allow you to make an appointment to get a trained technician to your property.
