Pump Controls and Basement Pumps

Pump Alarms
Back Up Pumps

When you have sump, or pits where a pump is installed sometimes you don’t want that pump to fail, and you don’t know it has failed until it is overflowing flooding basements or carparks, and that is not a good way to find out.

This is where you want a basic control such as an alarm, and or flashing light to let you know.

A float can be installed trigger an alarm before it gets to be a problem, and give you some time before it overflows.

But a better solution can be to install a backup pump to reduce the chances of an overflow.

We can have a feature where if one pump fails to start there is an alarm and then the back up takes over allowing you time to call a plumber to identify the fault.

Sewage Pumps

  • Due to Wellington’s topography there are a lot of basements and below the road buildings. This is where sewage pumps are needed if you want a bathroom below the plumbing which uses gravity to get the water soil water out.
  •  There is a large range of sewage pumps that are rated on the quantity shifted, and the height, or head you need to send it to. Sewage pumps are grinding pumps so solids and paper are shredded to get the flow working through the pump.
  • We design systems to get water from bathrooms, kitchens and restaurants and other commercial installations.
  • There are limitations as to what you can put through a pump. Tough stringy things will have problems. Use a compost bin to get rid of food scraps where you can.
  • Checkout our controls and alarms section of there is the risk of over flows if the pump does not work. Some installations need a backup pump and a controller.
